On 15 January, the community of Collegio Sant’Anselmo was pleased to witness the conferral of the ministry of the acolyte on four priestly candidates residing with us while studying in Rome. The four monks hail from monasteries located throughout the world.

The new ministers include, from left: John George, from Downside Abbey in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, England; Gregorio Carrizal, from Santa María y Todos Los Santos, in Teocelo, Mexico; Gregorio Vega, from Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles in Cuernavaca, Mexico; and Meinrad Hötzel from Kloster Einsiedeln, in Einsieldeln, Switzerland.

The ministry was conferred by Abate Primate Gregory Polan, center, who presided over the morning Mass.

Our congratulations and thanks go out to these men for their joyful courage and willingness to follow their priestly vocations.
